The Kia Seltos and the Sportage are remarkable crossover SUVs with seating for five and an extensive selection of features. The 2024 Seltos sits below the slightly larger Sportage in the lineup. Size is only one of the many significant differences between the Kia Seltos and the Kia Sportage that you should know about before selecting your new crossover. You can count on our sales reps at Red Rock Kia to give you full details about the specific models and trims that interest you.
Five Kia Seltos trim levels are available for 2024, and the lower trims pull 146 horsepower from a standard four-cylinder engine. It is paired with a CVT. The turbo four-cylinder engine in the top two trim levels produces 195 horsepower. This engine is linked to an eight-speed auto transmission. All of the 2024 Kia Seltos trim levels have standard all-wheel drive. In comparison, the 2024 Sportage has one engine for all trims. This is a 187-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with an eight-speed auto transmission. All Sportage trim levels have available or standard all-wheel drive.
The differences between the Seltos and Sportage continue throughout their exteriors. The Seltos has a curved roof with a subtly raked rear and sweeping contours over the side doors. The nose is distinctive with a chrome-accented, tie-themed grille. The unique headlights feature an extended arch of LED lighting that crosses into the grille. The 2024 Sportage, on the other hand, has a powerfully raked roof and muscular sculpting over the sides. The nose design features Kia’s bow tie grille topped by a chrome element. A boomerang-style LED bar stands tall between the grille and the diamond-shaped headlights.
Many of the features available in the 2024 Seltos are also offered in the Sportage at varying trim levels. Some of their shared features are lane centering, synthetic leather upholstery, a Bose sound system, adaptive cruise control, a sunroof, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch infotainment system screen, a wireless device charging station, a leather-covered steering wheel, auto climate control, a navigation system, a push-button ignition, and a few others. The Sportage is available with many additional features as well, including a heated windshield, alloy pedals, a heated steering wheel, a surround-view camera, a blind-spot monitor, highway driving assist, intersection collision mitigation, a 12.3-inch driver’s instrument panel, and more.
