2024 Kia Sorento vs 2023 Kia Sorento

Serving Grand Junction, CO

The mid-size Kia Sorento crossover SUV sits below the Telluride in the current lineup, making it among the largest vehicles produced by Kia. This three-row model introduced its fourth generation a few years ago; the 2023 and 2024 model years are both part of this generation. Despite being mid-generation versions, these Sorento model years are strikingly unique thanks to recent updates. Our Red Rock Kia team is happy to help you uncover the most recent improvements to the Sorento.

The 2024 Kia Sorento X-Pro is a new addition to the lineup. It stands out with 4,000 pounds of towing power and all-terrain tires. The available powertrains are unchanged between the 2023 and 2024 model years. The entry-level powertrain is a 191-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. It features an automatic eight-speed transmission. The higher trim levels may have standard all-wheel drive and are equipped with a 281-horsepower, turbo 2.5-liter engine. This powertrain comes with a dual-clutch, eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2024 Kia Sorento takes on a new look with a modernized, more squared-off style. Its broad dimensions are accompanied by long pinstripe accents flowing along the door panels. The 2024 Sorento’s grille is longer with sharper edges, but it continues to hold Kia’s classic shape. The LED headlights also have a new look with a hook-like LED ribbon. The 2024 Sorento has all the exterior features you will find in the previous model year. These are a hands-free liftgate, raised roof rails, 20-inch tires, a sunroof, and rain-sensing wipers.

In the new 2024 Sorento, you will discover modernized technologies for the carryover features as well as redesigned screens for the driver’s digital gauges and the central display screen. Both the 2023 and 2024 Sorento are available with exciting features like wireless smartphone app connections, parking sensors, a navigation system, remote start with push-button ignition, a wireless charging station, second-row captain’s chairs, adaptive cruise control, heated seats, a blind-spot camera, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera and a Bose sound system with 12 speakers.
